David Swift, CIMA® is a Founding Partner of Second 50 Financial. His chief role is to help develop sound financial advice for the firm’s clients. His focus is on investment analysis and financial planning strategy through which he works closely with the investment team at Ashton Thomas. He also takes a lead role in working with clients’ tax advisors during the formation and execution of financial plans.
David has been working in the financial related industry for over 12 years. He has successfully completed the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) Program at the Wharton School of Business. Recently, David earned the Investment Management Consultant’s Association’s (IMCA) Applied Behavioral Finance Certificate. The program addressed common behavioral challenges that trip up investors and advisors alike. IMCA’s program featured notable experts from leading business schools such as MIT, Chicago Booth and Duke presenting in-depth, thoughtful, and interesting research from the field today. The program also included timely and relevant presentations from behavioral finance experts, financial advisor practitioners, and cutting-edge academics. David holds the Series 7, 66 and CA Insurance license.
David is currently a member of The Investment Management Consultant Association. Prior to moving to the US, David worked at Apodi in London, a strategic business consulting firm.
Originally from Bath, England, David has also lived in Australia, and most recently the U.S. for the last 12 years. David currently resides in Summerlin, Nevada.
